Job summary

Northside Hospital seeks a seasoned Radiation Oncology Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day activities across nursing, radiation therapy, dosimetry, and simulation. You will ensure adherence to throughput goals and high-quality patient care for adolescents, adults and seniors.

The role requires ARRT certification, CPR, a graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program, and at least 5 years of clinical radiation oncology experience with 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Qualifications

• 5 years clinical experience in Radiation Oncology and 2 years supervisory experience.
• ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy - R.T. (R) (ARRT).
• CPR certification required; strong prioritization and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operation and supervision of radiation oncology services.
• Coordinate nursing, radiation therapy, dosimetry, simulation and related functions.
• Ensure compliance with departmental throughput goals and quality care.
• Provide care for adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.

Responsible for the day to day operation and supervision of radiation oncology services. Responsible for coordination of all radiation oncology services including but not limited to nursing, radiation therapy, dosimetry, simulation, and other functions. Is responsible for ensuring compliance with departmental operational through-put goals. Provides care and/or service to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

1. Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiation Therapy
2. 5 years clinical experience in Radiation Oncology AND 2 years supervisory experience in said specialty.
3. ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy - R.T. (R) (ARRT)
4. Demonstrated ability to set priorities, coordinate diversified and multiple activities, and make appropriate clinical and managerial decisions. Must possess advanced problem solving skills.
5. Certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
6. Must be knowledgeable of all aspects of Radiation Oncology procedures
7. Ensures accuracy , attention to detail ,ability to set priorities and to communicate well with all entities in Radiation Oncology
8. Must posses advanced problem solving skills

Preferred:

1. Bachelors Degree in Radiation Therapy or related field
2. Proficient in ARIA and Mosaiq software applications
