Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to assist in treatment planning and operate radiation therapy equipment.

The role includes supervising designated machines and staff, coordinating scheduling, and maintaining readiness across treatment and simulation areas.

Candidates should have 2 years in Radiation Oncology, CPR certification, and preferred supervisory experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in Radiation Oncology.
• CPR certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in radiation oncology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of treatment plans and render radiation therapy.
• Provide supervisory oversight of designated machines and the staff operating them.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling to keep equipment running efficiently.
• Maintain competence to perform related RT responsibilities in both treatment and simulation areas.

Responsibilities

Assists in the development of treatment plans and renders radiation therapy treatment. Provides supervisory oversight of a designated machine or machines, the staff assigned to that machine or machines, and all associated staffing and scheduling tasks to keep the machines running in the most effective and efficient manner. Maintains competence to perform and the willingness and flexibility to work at all possible tasks associated with an RT’s responsibilities in both the RT Treatment and Simulation area. Works with a unit specific patient population.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

1. 2 years’ experience in Radiation Oncology.

2. Certified in cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

PREFERRED:

1. Bachelors Degree in related field.

2. Computer knowledge, experience with Microsoft Office.

3. 1 year’s supervisory experience in radiation oncology.

Work Hours

8:00am - 4:30pm
