Job summary

Penn State Health seeks a Coordinator Patient Throughput – Patient Logistics to coordinate resources to expedite patient flow from a clinical perspective. Works with interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient placement and improve capacity.

Requires RN license with 3 years nursing experience; BSN preferred. Strong communication, critical thinking, and project management skills. Role includes process improvement and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Three (3) years' experience in Nursing required.
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required.

Coordinator Patient Throughput - Patient Logistics

Responsible for coordinating, from a clinical perspective, the necessary resources to expedite patient flow on a daily basis. Interacts regularly with the interdisciplinary team to facilitate patient placement. Identifies, facilitates, and implements process change to improve patient flow and facility capacity.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Three (3) years' experience in Nursing required
  • Currently licensed as a registered nurse by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills, independent critical thinking, conflict resolution, project management and clinical analytical skills.
  • Ability to establish effective working relationships, coordinate and manage multiple initiatives.
