The Karmanos Cancer Institute, a leader in cancer care, is seeking a Coordinator for Patient Care Services to oversee critical care operations. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring patient care efficiency, and mentoring nursing personnel. Qualified applicants should have a current RN license and at least three years of nursing experience.

Assists the Nursing Director in meeting patient and employee needs within the department/unit assigned. Responsible for the day-to-day supervision, coordination, and participation in the day to day operations of the designated areas, following hospital policies and procedures, nursing process guidelines, standards of care, and standards of practice.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assists in ensuring efficient operations including placement of patients and staffing of the nursing units. Acts as leader for the department and liaison between staff and manager.
2. Acts as a resource person and provides support and direction to unit staff.Participates in delivery of patient care as needed.
3. Assesses, monitors, recognizes and proposes solutions and takes the appropriate corrective actions to maintain department operations.
4. Collaborates with other leaders to facilitate throughput throughout the organization
5. Mentors staff. Supports and facilitates participation of staff in shared governance meetings and projects.
