Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate Annual Support Plan meetings and ensure implementation.
  • Review training programs for each resident and conduct monthly/ quarterly reviews.
  • Input and update resident data in Therap with the Administrative Assistant.
  • Inform Program Director of difficulties with disciplines in the support plan.
  • Provide ongoing in-service training to staff.
  • Participate in internal auditing and monitor facility regulatory compliance.
  • Act as liaison to parents, day programs, schools and government agencies.
  • Conduct ongoing reviews and track progress on support plan goals.
  • Demonstrate use of Safety Care procedures and related competencies.
  • Supervise the Direct Support Professional Supervisors.
  • Act as On-Call for the entire facility in absence of Program Director.
  • Ensure staff follow safety policies; provide training on safe work procedures.
  • Team Members are expected to comply with general attendance policies.
  • Demonstrates proper use of Safety Care procedures and related competencies.
  • Understand and comply with all safety policies.
  • Attend required abuse risk management training.
  • Adheres to procedures for managing high-risk activities and supervision.
  • Ensure residents’ rights and promote quality of life.
  • Report abuse incidents per facility procedures and laws.
  • Follow screening requirements and use tools to assess abuse risk.
  • Provide ongoing supervision and training regarding abuse risk to staff.
  • Provide regular feedback on professional boundaries with individuals.
  • Ensure staff adhere to abuse risk policies and progressive discipline.
  • Respond seriously to reports of suspicious behavior and follow mandated reporting.
  • Communicate the organization’s commitment to protecting individuals from abuse to staff and board.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide administrative support and coordination for the implementation of all written behavior programs. Monitor and review all programming and ensure compliance with all State and Federal regulations pertaining to documentation and consent requirements for treatment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Initial

  • 1 Oversee and coordinate Annual Support Plan meetings and ensure responsibility for total implementation of residents’ Support Plan.
  • 2 Review and observe training programs and services for each resident and complete a monthly and quarterly review of each resident’s total program.
  • 3 Input and update resident date on Therap in conjunction with the Administrative Assistant.
  • 4 Inform Program Director of any difficulties noted with individual disciplines in the implementation of each resident’s support plan.
  • 5 Provide ongoing in-service training to staff.
  • 6 Participate in internal auditing and monitor facility compliance with all regulations.
  • 7 Function as a liaison to parents, day programs, schools and government agencies.
  • 8 Conduct ongoing reviews and track progress on support plan goals at CFCI/ECCI.
  • 9 Demonstrates proper use of Safety Care procedures and all competencies that are designed to manage aggression, self-injury and/or property destruction.
  • 10 Supervise the Direct Support Professional Supervisors.
  • 11 Act as “On-Call” for entire facility in absence of Program Director.
  • 12 Ensures all direct reports understand all policies related to safety and their role in ensuring safety for themselves, for residents/consumers, for co-workers and for families, guardians and visitors. Provides training on job-specific safe work procedures. Confirms that Team Members know and comply with reporting procedures. Recognizes, reinforces and rewards Team Members in tangible ways for safe work performance and behaviors, i.e., public or private verbal recognition, informal written notes, formal commendations, and available incentives.
  • 13 Team Members are expected to comply with the general attendance policies.
  • 14 Demonstrates proper use of Safety Care procedures and all competencies that are designed to manage aggression, self-injury and/or property destruction.
  • 15 Demonstrates understanding of, and comply with, all policies related to safety.
  • 16 Team Members are expected to comply with all safety policies and procedures and attends all required abuse risk management training.
  • 17 Adheres to procedures related to managing high‑risk activities and supervising individuals.
  • 18 Ensures residents’ rights and promotes optimal quality of life standards.
  • 19 Reports any incident of abuse in accordance with facility procedure and the Disabled Persons Abuse Negligence Act.
  • 20 Follows Team Members screening requirements and uses screening instruments to screen for abuse risk.
  • 21 Provides Team Members with on‑going supervision and training related to abuse risk.
  • 22 Provides Team Members with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with individuals.
  • 23 Requires Team Members to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk. Responds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organization’s progressive disciplinary procedures.
  • 24 Respond seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviors. Follows mandated reporting requirements.
  • 25 Communicates to all Team Members the organization’s commitment to protect their individuals from abuse. Reports essential abuse risk management information to the board of directors.
