Position Summary:

The Coordinator of Pre-college Programs provides day-to-dayoperational, logistical, and administrative support for Wentworth’spre-college offerings. This position plays an essential role inensuring a smooth student and family experience from recruitmentthrough enrollment and program completion.

The Coordinator of Pre-college Programs supports the day-to-daystudent experience and operational logistics for Wentworth’spre-college programs, with a particular emphasis on studentengagement, residential coordination, and program operations.Working closely with the pre-college team, this position helpscreate a safe, welcoming, and well-organized environment wheremiddle and high school students can successfully transition intoand participate in a college-based summer or academic-yearprograms.

This role is responsible for coordinating key aspects of thestudent experience, including marketing and communication support,housing logistics, student support, and the implementation ofco-curricular and programmatic activities. The Coordinator alsoworks collaboratively with campus partners such as Housing andResidential Education, Center for Student Life, Wentworth Police,Dining, and academic departments to help ensure programs runsmoothly and students are supported throughout their time oncampus.

The Coordinator serves as an important point of contact forstudents, families, and program staff and plays a central role infostering a student-centered experience grounded in care,responsiveness, organization, and attention to detail.

Essential Functions:
  • Coordinate the day-to-day logistics and student experience forpre-college programs, with an emphasis on residential operations,student support, and program implementation.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for students and familiesbefore and during programs, providing timely communication,guidance, and customer service.
  • Support student arrival and departure processes, includingcheck-in, check-out, move-in, move-out, room assignments, anddistribution of program materials.
  • Coordinate housing-related logistics in partnership with theOffice of Housing & Residential Education and other campusoffices to help ensure a safe, organized, and positive residentialexperience.
  • Assist in the implementation and communication of studentpolicies, procedures, behavioral expectations, and communitystandards.
  • Support student engagement efforts through the coordination ofco-curricular activities, evening programming, community-buildingopportunities, and other aspects of the students' experienceoutside the classroom.
  • Work collaboratively with campus partners to support smoothdaily operations and timely resolution of student and programneeds.
  • Monitor and respond to student concerns as they arise,escalating issues appropriately, and contributing to a supportiveand student-centered environment.
  • Assist with program scheduling, space coordination, supplymanagement, meal logistics, and other operational details necessaryfor successful program delivery.
  • Support enrollment and administrative processes includingapplication review and onboarding support.
  • Assist in hiring, training, scheduling, and supportingtemporary staff, student workers, or interns who contribute toprogram operations.
  • Participate in evening, weekend, and peak program periodresponsibilities, including on-call or on-site support asneeded.
  • Contribute to post-program assessment and program review tosupport continuous improvement.
  • Participate in evening and weekend programs as needed.
  • Support other related projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant professional experience inpre-college programs, higher education, summer programs,admissions, student engagement, outreach, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated experience in program management, staffsupervision, and cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Strong project management, communication, and organizationalskills.
  • Experience using data to support decision-making, assessment,and process improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise soundjudgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends,and on-call periods when programs are in session.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in higher education with an emphasis on pre-college,summer session, residential life, admissions, or studentaffairs.
  • Familiarity with CRM Systems like Slate
  • Experience contributing to revenue-generating programs andmanaging complex seasonal operations.
Position Details:

At this time, the university is unable to sponsor applicants forH-1B visas.

The job grade for this position is Grade 5.

The expected salary for this position is between $58,000.00 -$70,000.00 which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for thisrole.

This is a hybrid position with a fully in-person expectation forthe month of July. Specific days of hybrid work must be approved byyour supervisor.
