COORDINATOR OF GRANTS

Position Overview: Oversees the administration of federal, state, and private grants, including identifying funding opportunities, coordinating applications, monitoring budgets and expenditures, ensuring compliance, and preparing required reports. Supports district initiatives through effective grant management and reports directly to the Business Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all grant spending adheres to federal, state, and local regulations. Prepare and submit financial reports, performance reports, and grant amendments. Perform state and federal reporting of grant program financials.
  • Financial Management: Oversee grant budgets, maintain tracking sheets, monitor spending, and manage reimbursements. Include development of financial reports, accounting, and reconciliation of grant revenues and expenditures with municipal and state accounting systems.
  • Coordination & Support: Collaborate with district administration and financial departments for grant writing, implementation, and tracking. Serve as a liaison to schools and departments, offering consultation and support on best practices, procurement, financial management, regulations, policies, and processes.
  • Audit Support: Assist with external/internal audits by providing documentation and ensuring policy adherence.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college with a major in accounting, finance, public administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in grant management or finance-related fields. Municipal accounting or school business experience is preferred.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite are required. Proficiency in financial software (e.g. Munis, GEM$) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong writing, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Ability to multitask and handle several projects at any given time in collaboration with various department and building administration.
  • Ability to work independently.

Start date of mid to late August.

Salary commensurate with experience.
