Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in New Jersey is seeking a Materials Management Assistant to help the Materials Management Specialist procure supplies, implantables, equipment and instruments used in Surgical Services.

You will organize and allocate materials to ensure uninterrupted delivery of quality patient care, work with hospital staff in a courteous, professional manner, and help maintain an efficient, cost-conscious supply chain.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–3 years of related work experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with hospital employees courteously and professionally.

Job description

Responsible for assisting the Materials Management Specialist in maintaining an effective system for the procurement of all supplies, implantable, equipment and instruments utilized in Surgical Services. Responsible for organizing and allocating materials to ensure continued delivery of quality patient care.

Qualifications

Work requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and two to three years of previous work related experience required. Work requires the ability to interact with hospital employees in a courteous and professional manner.
