The Coordinator, Manufacturing Operations is responsible for working with the Director, Manufacturing Operations to ensure the safe and efficient production of specialty edible oil and glycerin. This role will assist with production coordination, troubleshoot operations, ensure efficient operations, and adhere to all strict quality and safety standards.Responsibilities and Duties:Operate safely and appropriately in all AgCertain situations and environmentsDemonstrate a proficient and continuously increasing understanding of both glycerin and oil refining systems and the associated utility systems within the processing production areas, including formal testing and evaluation proceduresApply engineering principles to troubleshoot deficiencies, reduce waste, improve production efficiency, and improve product qualityAssist with training production team membersDisplay a positive attitude and willingness to continue to expand knowledge on refining systemsUnderstand scheduling of production and labor to assist with scheduling effortsHelp troubleshoot within refining systems and assist with general maintenance of the facilityComplete all required documentation accurately and in a timely mannerAssist with writing and revising controlled documents such as SOPs, MOCs, and engineering documentsComply with all Occupational Safety policies and procedures within the plantHave a thorough understanding of and be able to apply Good Manufacturing Practices to the production processPerform sanitation duties in accordance with SOPs, Food Safety and GMP complianceBe an active member in the OSHA Safety and Food Safety programsSupport Logistics activities when necessary, receiving and shipping material, packaging product, etc.Assist with yield optimization and process improvement projects in manufacturing operationsDisplay proficiency accessing production logs via SharePoint and be able to complete data entry using Microsoft ExcelFoster a positive and collaborative team atmosphere, encouraging open communication and a commitment to qualityMonitor production metrics and quality parameters, intervening as necessary to maintain high standardsCollaborate with quality assurance and quality control teams to implement necessary corrective actionsAssist with training sessions for production team members, ensuring they are well-versed in operating equipment and following safety protocolsOperate all equipment with a heightened focus on precision and adherence to formulationsParticipate in all company trainingsPerform all other duties as assignedA Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Ag Systems Technology or relevant fieldPrior experience in a food processing facility or food service industry is preferredGeneral business knowledge including project management, budgeting, and strategic planning preferredPhysical abilities to include the ability to lift 75 lbs (34 Kg), ability to spend 8+ hours on feet and/or standing in placeStrong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and technical skillsExcellent attention to detailFlexibility to conduct multiple tasks throughout each day and possess troubleshooting skillsMust be able to work different shifts (including weekends) as directed and to respond to emergencies and after-hours communication as necessaryAct with humility, honesty, integrity, and a commitment to safetyAbide by Good Manufacturing Practices in all areas of the facility
