Responsibilities

  • Provide daily administrative support to the Athletic Director and athletics leadership team.
  • Coordinate office operations, calendars, meetings, correspondence, and departmental communications.
  • Maintain departmental files, records, manuals, and operational documents.
  • Assist with reports, presentations, budgets, and strategic planning materials.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external athletics inquiries.
  • Assist in planning and execution of home athletic events, tournaments, and special functions.
  • Coordinate game-day staffing, credentials, hospitality, ticketing support, and facility readiness.
  • Support setup and breakdown for contests, ceremonies, and campus athletic events.
  • Represent the athletic department to the College's internal and external constituencies.
  • Supervise student workers, interns, and temporary event staff as assigned.
  • Attend evenings, weekends, and travel events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

The Coordinator of Athletics provides essential administrative, operational, and event support for the intercollegiate athletics department. This position assists with the day-to-day management of athletic operations, scheduling, travel coordination, purchasing, facilities logistics, student-athlete services, and special events. The Coordinator of Athletics plays a vital role in the athletic department, ensuring the efficiency of daily operations while supporting coaches, student-athletes, and staff in a competitive NJCAA environment.

Primary Responsibilities
Department Operations & Administrative Support
  • Provide daily administrative support to the Athletic Director and athletics leadership team.
  • Coordinate office operations, calendars, meetings, correspondence, and departmental communications.
  • Maintain departmental files, records, manuals, and operational documents.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, presentations, budgets, and strategic planning materials.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external athletics inquiries.
Game Operations & Event Management
  • Assist in planning and execution of home athletic events, tournaments, and special functions.
  • Coordinate game-day staffing, credentials, hospitality, ticketing support, and facility readiness.
  • Support setup and breakdown for contests, ceremonies, and campus athletic events.
  • Ensure a professional and welcoming environment for teams, officials, and spectators.
  • Assist with crowd management, fan services, and event logistics.
Facilities & Equipment Coordination
  • Assist with facility scheduling, outside rentals, maintenance requests, and readiness of athletic venues.
  • Coordinate deliveries, equipment movement, and operational needs for practices and events.
  • Monitor cleanliness, safety, and organization of assigned athletics spaces.
  • Communicate logistics details with coaches, opponents, officials, and vendors.
Secondary Duties
  • Represent the athletic department to the College's internal and external constituencies.
  • Supervise student workers, interns, and temporary event staff as assigned.
  • Attend evenings, weekends, and travel events as needed.
  • Serve as secondary game admin for select home events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Required Education
