Responsibilities
  • Handle inbound calls, determine needs, and provide one-call resolution.
  • Manage workload of inbound faxes (if applicable).
  • Investigate and resolve patient/physician inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Enter detailed information into proprietary software while conversing via telephone.
  • Make outbound calls for patient follow-ups, confirmations, or to obtain missing information.
  • Interact with referral sources to process new applicants.
  • Follow up with internal team members on next steps.
  • Communicate with external entities including physician offices and pharmacies.
  • Identify, document, and submit Adverse Events during customer contact or via documentation.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred.
  • At least 1 year experience in a fast-paced call center environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft systems and telephony.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-directed.
  • Ability to sit for long periods in a cubicle environment.
  • Excellent customer support skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with urgency.
  • Flexible to work any schedule between 7 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday.

  • Apply acquired skills and company policies to routine tasks.
  • Work on routine assignments with basic problem resolution.
  • Seek guidance from policies and past practices.
  • Receive general direction on standard work and detailed instructions on new tasks.
  • Consult supervisors or senior peers on complex issues.
Training and Schedule

Training is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST; attendance is mandatory.

This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). Flexibility to work any shift within Monday-Friday, 7 am - 5 pm CST, is required.

Remote Work Details

Remote work requires a dedicated, quiet, private environment with high-speed internet. Cardinal Health provides necessary equipment. Internet must meet specific speed and connection standards outlined here.

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated hourly range: $17.80 - $21.00. No bonus eligibility. Benefits include health coverage, paid time off, HSA, 401k, flexible spending accounts, disability coverage, work-life resources, parental leave, and wellness programs.
