A leading healthcare facility in Kentucky is seeking a full-time coordinator to manage medical records and ensure compliance with standards. The role involves assisting with EHR verification, monitoring records, and communicating with physicians. Candidates should have an Associate's degree and knowledge of medical terminology. The coordinator is responsible for assisting with verification of completed dictation in the electronic health record (EHR). Must quickly, accurately, and comprehensively read and understand medical records and terminology to provide strict quality, accuracy, and deadline protocols and uphold the confidentiality of patient records, only releasing them to authorized personnel. Monitors and follow up with physicians with record deficiencies within the incomplete record (ICR), until completed. Responsible for monitoring timely medical record documents per The Joint Commission standards and communicating information to Health Information Manager. Responsible for monitoring and reporting delinquent medical records per physician if not completed in a timely period. Assists with chart assembly as needed. Coordinates authenticity of authorizations for release of medical records. Responsible for preparing legal documents for birth certificates.

HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR EQUIVALENT
