Under the Assistant Director, you will implement departmental initiatives, coordinate risk-reduction programming, and collaborate with campus partners to sustain a safe, thriving Greek community on campus.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, student personnel or related field.
• 1-2 years’ professional experience in higher education or related field or related leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise student leaders and facilitate educational initiatives on accountability and compliance.
• Provide advisory support to up to three governing councils.
• Offer guidance to chapter/council leaders on operations, risk reduction, and policies.
• Coordinate risk reduction initiatives, including education, prevention, and compliance activities.
• Collaborate with staff to support risk reduction and community standards in housing environments.
• Support accountability processes by maintaining conduct records and assisting with interventions.
• Maintain compliance documentation (insurance certificates, event registrations, reports).
• Supervise up to three Fraternity & Sorority Life Graduate Assistants.

Job Summary:

The Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life (Risk Reduction and Accountability) supports the success of fraternity and sorority students and organizations through education, advising, organizational development, and accountability initiatives. The position works collaboratively with students, advisors, national and international organizations, and university stakeholders to promote organizational health, risk reduction, compliance, and community standards throughout the fraternity and sorority community.

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Fraternity and Sorority Life, this position coordinates the implementation of departmental initiatives related to organizational accountability, risk reduction, compliance, and community standards while collaborating with departmental staff to support organizational health, student success, and a positive fraternity and sorority experience. Through education, organizational development, accountability practices, and relationship-based advising, the position supports chapter success and contributes to a safe, healthy, and thriving fraternity and sorority community.

Duties & Essential Job Functions:

• 1. Promotes chapter and student organization success by advising student leaders and facilitating educational initiatives related to organizational accountability, risk reduction, and compliance.
• 2. Provides direct advisory support of up to three governing councils within Fraternity and Sorority Life
• 3. Provides consultation and guidance to chapter and council leaders regarding organizational operations, risk reduction strategies, university policies, crisis response procedures, and best practices associated with chapter management
• 4. Coordinates and administers fraternity and sorority risk reduction initiatives, including educational programming, prevention efforts, compliance processes, and community-wide initiatives related to hazing prevention, member safety, organizational health, and responsible decision-making.
• 5. Collaborates with departmental staff to support risk reduction, accountability, and community standards initiatives within fraternity and sorority housing environments.
• 6. Supports organizational accountability processes by collaborating with the Dean of Students Office, maintaining conduct-related records, preparing documentation, and assisting with educational interventions and follow-up requirements.
• 7. Maintains organizational compliance documentation, including certificates of insurance, event registrations, required reports, and other records necessary to support university and organizational expectations.
• 8. Provides direct supervision to up to three Fraternity and Sorority Life Graduate Assistants
• 9. Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience:

• Master’s degree in counseling, student personnel or related field.
• 1-2 years’ professional experience in higher education or related field or a combination of professional experience and undergraduate leadership experience.
