Job summary

  • Assist the Assistant AD for Student‑Athlete Support Services with coordination of Student Development and Spartan Shield Program.
  • Serve as the SAAC Advisor.
  • Interpret, analyze, and monitor academic progress and NCAA eligibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of NCAA and University rules concerning academic standing and eligibility.

Position Summary

  • Serve as the Student‑Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor.
  • Interpret, analyze, and monitor the academic progress of student‑athletes; assess student‑athlete overall academic performance and its impact on progress toward graduation and NCAA eligibility.
  • Maintain knowledge of all NCAA and University rules concerning academic standing and eligibility requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
  • A master’s degree, or a bachelor’s degree and three or more years of relevant experience is required.
  • The candidate will possess a passion for the holistic development of student‑athletes.
  • The candidate must be detail‑oriented, have excellent communication skills, and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A master’s degree is preferred. Previous experience in student‑athlete development, counselor education, teaching or athletic academic advising at the University level is preferred.
