Qualifications

  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience can be used in lieu of the degree.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in daily operations, programming, and initiatives within the Academy pillars (Leadership, Personal Development, Career Exploration, Community Impact).
  • Assist with department branding, social media coverage, and storytelling efforts.
  • Co-teach a course for upperclassmen to support leadership development and the transition to UC.
  • Coordinate community impact activities and initiatives.
  • Engage with platforms and technology that support the Academy.
  • Create presentations and reports for the Academy.
  • Evaluate and build programs to grow engagement with student-athletes, alumni and Bearcats.
  • Maintain data for the athletics alumni database (C-Club).
  • Assist in planning reunions and special events.
  • Adhere to NCAA, Conference and university policies.

Job Overview

The University of Cincinnati is seeking an entry‑level, post‑graduate Coordinator for Student‑Athlete Development & Letterwinner Engagement (Coordinator Special Projects & Programs) supporting the Student‑Athlete Development Academy. This full‑time, salaried position provides student‑athletes with exposure to professional aspects of collegiate athletics and follows departmental, university, conference, and NCAA policies.

Essential Functions
  • Assist in daily operations, programming, and initiatives within the Academy pillars: Leadership, Personal Development, Career Exploration, and Community Impact.
  • Assist with department branding, social media coverage, and overall storytelling efforts.
  • Co‑teach a course for upperclassmen to support leadership development and the transition to the University of Cincinnati, including the student‑athlete experience.
  • Coordinate community impact activities and initiatives.
  • Engage in platforms and technology that best support the Academy.
  • Create presentations and reports for the Academy.
  • Evaluate and build programs aimed at growing engagement with current student‑athletes, alumni, and future Bearcats.
  • Maintain an environment conducive to the welfare, personal development, and professional readiness of the student‑athletes.
  • Maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university staff and administrators, alumni, key stakeholders, and community partners.
  • Maintain accurate data for sustainability of the athletic alumni database (C‑Club).
  • Assist in planning and implementing reunions and special events.
  • Perform all duties in adherence with NCAA, Conference, and university policies.
Required Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or specialized training can be used in lieu of the education requirement.
Required Experience

One (1) year of experience in coordinating projects and/or programs.

Additional Qualifications Considered
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work collaboratively, highly organized, and comfortable presenting/teaching.
  • Ability to work primarily daytime office hours with occasional evening and weekend events.
