Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience in an institution of higher education or related field.
  • Spanish language skills are preferred.
  • Experience with Slate CRM is preferred.
  • Experience coordinating programs for youth or emerging adults is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job Description
SUMMARY

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Campus Visit Experience, the Coordinator for Campus Visits and Engagement develops and implements a variety of programs and visit opportunities for prospective undergraduate students, parents, school counselors, and community members to support undergraduate admission and enrollment goals. The Coordinator plays a key role in facilitating promotion and marketing of their programs, manages all logistics, and utilizes data to inform program plans and adjustments. In addition, the coordinator co-manages the Admissions Ambassador program.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, coordinate and execute small- and large- scale, in-person and virtual events to support the recruitment and enrollment of undergraduate students to Montclair State University, including first-year, transfer, and non-traditional students; and events and programs for additional audiences related to new student enrollment such as parents, school counselors, and the broader community.

  • Utilize Slate CRM to manage event registration, communications, and reporting.

  • Exercise fiscal responsibility by staying within allotted budgets for event costs.

  • Liaise with campus partners and off-campus vendors to support events, such as catering/dining, faculty, facilities, procurement, and student services offices.

  • Counsel and communicate with prospective students, parents and guidance counselors in regard to Montclair’s academic and co-curricular offerings, visit opportunities, and application and enrollment procedures via phone, e-mail, and in person.

  • Co-manage student workers, including hiring, day-to-day management, task assignment, coaching, and evaluation.

  • Coordinate the ordering, tracking, and inventory management of promotional items and branded merchandise to support events, recruitment and engagement initiatives.

  • Prepare reports and analyze data to assess program effectiveness, inform recommendations, and support new recruitment and community engagement initiatives.

  • Solicit and coordinate opportunities to maximize faculty involvement in recruitment events and proactively seeks on-campus events that can be used as recruitment initiatives.

  • Coordinate special visit requests, including meetings with faculty, opportunities to sit in on a class, and other customized visit experiences.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for group tours and external requests; makes presentations for campus tours and school group tours; and may facilitate workshops and presentations in the community.

  • Participate in all on campus Undergraduate Admissions events, including but not limited to Open Houses and Accepted Student Days.

  • Support major event planning, including involvement in planning, logistics, promotion, and post-event assessment.

  • Serve as the content manager for monitors in the lobby and hallway.

  • Serve on ad hoc and standing committees as required.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Management retains the right to add or change job duties at any time.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Minimum two years of professional experience in an institution of higher education or related field.

PREFERRED
  • Spanish language skills.

  • Slate CRM experience.

  • Prior experience coordinating programs for youth or emerging adults.

Salary Range

$66,067.40-$72,679.50 Annually
