Georgia State University’s University Career Services seeks an Employer Relations Coordinator, Lead to advance the campus recruiting program. You will build relationships with employers, create internships and career opportunities for students and alumni, and deliver programs, fairs, and panels that enhance job search skills.

  • Provide job posting and recruiting support using the career management system and participate in campus resume reviews.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Lead Employer Relations Coordinator leads and supports the campus recruiting program under the supervision of the Associate Director of Employer Relations. In collaboration with the Employer Relations team this role develops new connections for internships, co-operative education, and career jobs. This position creates new career programs, fairs, panels and delivers presentations to support job search skills for students and alumni. The Lead Employer Relations Coordinator maintains center-wide responsibility for assessing and improving effectiveness in relationships with recruiters and friends of Georgia State. In collaboration with the Associate Director for Employer Relations, this position manages the initiatives related to student outreach and engagement with University Career Services, including the First Destination Survey report.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with recruiting entities. Identify potential recruiting enetities and implement initiatives to connect them with students. Serve as liaison between students and employers. Develop resources as required. Lead employer relations initiatives and support activities that provide a robust recruiting environment and engage student interest.
  • Support all data management activities, collection and analysis for Employer Relations, the First Destination Survey, and annual reports as requested
  • Support all recruiting initiatives through various programming including career fairs, panels, workshops, events, and other related activities. Coordinate University Career Services participation in New Student Orientation, including scheduling and presentations. Coordinate and execute the planning, execution, and management of career events including workshops, career fairs, conferences, and employer panels and assist others with career-related events. May work with regional and state colleagues to collaboratively plan events.
  • Use career management systems for job approvals, events, and resume approvals, and provide students and alumni support using the career management system. Assist employers with posting job opportunities and recruiting activities and participate in campus resume reviews and presentation activities.
  • Participate in professional development activities and represent University Career Services at local, regional, and state levels, promoting Georgia State University and its campus recruiting program. Represent Georgia State University and University Career Services in state and regional professional associations.
Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Hiring Qualifications:
  • A succesful candidate will posses the following:
  • A creative mindset and commitment to innovative approaches to the delivery of career services in a large public university.
  • Thorough understanding of and commitment to the goals and responsibilities of career services models and employer relationship management.
  • Effective interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communications.
  • Ability to interact with all constituencies of a rapidly growing public college.
  • Demonstrated competency in training and project management.
  • Knowledge of approaches to career development for individuals with special needs, non-traditional students, first generation students and other specialized populations.
