Job summary

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics is seeking a candidate to support truck procurement and oversee drayage operations for North America. You will manage truck rate procurement, oversee Compcare / VI operations, and analyze drayage processes to drive cost reductions.

The role emphasizes vendor KPI development and quality control across North America, with collaboration across Finance, Pricing, Sales and regional stations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• 1–2 years in intermodal/drayage operations; 1–3 years in seafreight.
• Familiarity with Hellogic, Outlook, Business Objects is a plus.
• Experience with compliance-related projects is desired.

Responsibilities

• Procurement of truck rates.
• Day-to-day operational management of Compcare / VI – Visual Intermodal.
• Analyze drayage operations to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost reduction.
• Identify best practices across North America for quality control and ensure they are communicated and implemented where applicable.
• Assist in executing quality control functions (systems and data accuracy) for Compcare / VI (Visual Intermodal).
• Assist in vendor invoice reconciliation – monitor and assist to ensure KPIs are met.
• Develop, monitor, and report Vendor KPIs (timely workorder completion, billing, communication, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Overview

Hellmann Worldwide Logistics seeks a candidate to support truck procurement and provide functional oversight of drayage operations for North America. The incumbent will perform tasks related to truck procurement and operations (rate procurement, execution, completion, and billing) in accordance with Hellmann policies and procedures. Interaction occurs with regional stations/branches within North America, Finance, Pricing, Sales, and other functions related to North American drayage activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Procurement of truck rates
• Day-to-day operational management of Compcare / VI – Visual Intermodal (execution, codes, carriers, users, etc.)
• Analyze drayage operations to identify opportunities for process enhancements and cost reduction
• Identify best practices across North America for quality control and ensure they are communicated and implemented where applicable
• Assist in executing quality control functions (systems and data accuracy) for Compcare / VI (Visual Intermodal)
• Assist in vendor invoice reconciliation – monitor and assist to ensure KPIs are met
• Develop, monitor, and report Vendor KPIs (timely workorder completion, billing, communication, etc.)
• Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not supervise any direct reports.

Education and Experience

• Associate’s Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college preferred or an equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered in lieu of educational requirement
• One to two years’ experience in intermodal/drayage operations or similar preferred
• One to three years’ experience in seafreight operations required
• Solid understanding of processes and systems; knowledge and use of Hellogic, Outlook and Business Objects a plus
• Experience with compliance related projects desired
• Knowledge of trucking operations a plus
• Prior experience communicating with truckers a plus
