Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Drafting Designing Coordinator to help create and modify telecommunications and permit drawings, ensuring designs meet customer specifications. You will produce drafts using AutoCAD and coordinate with the team to align timelines and deliverables.

Ideal candidates have coursework or internship in design and drafting, and an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred. This remote US position offers weekly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent; up to two years telecom design/engineering experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Coursework or internship in design and drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify telecommunications and permit drawings
• Design small extensions and small system redesigns per customer specs
• Produce high-quality drafts using AutoCAD or similar software for mapping data and design
• Coordinate project timelines and ensure drafting aligns with goals
• Provide information to the team on a timely basis, including maps and BOMs
• Maintain high production levels to meet client expectations
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed
• Meet project deadlines under tight timelines
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll do

• Create or modify telecommunications and permit drawings
• Design small extensions and small system redesigns, in accordance with customer design specifications
• Produce high-quality drafts using AutoCAD or other specified software for mapping data and design
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that drafting and design work aligns with overall project goals
• Provide necessary information to the team on a timely basis, including strand maps, drafted design maps, and BOM's or digital files
• Maintain high production levels to meet & exceed client expectations
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed
• Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines
• Other duties as assigned

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or up to two years of Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Design/Engineering Experience is required
• Associate'sor Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
• Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: Operate vehicle, climb stairs, stand, walk
