Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction LLC in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Drafting Designing Coordinator to create and modify telecom and permit drawings, ensuring designs meet customer specifications. You will help manage project timelines and produce drafts using AutoCAD and other software.

This role focuses on coordinating timelines, delivering maps, BOMs, and digital files, while maintaining high production to exceed client expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or up to two years of Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Design/Engineering experience required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
• Coursework or internship in design and drafting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify telecommunications and permit drawings.
• Design small extensions and system redesigns per customer specifications.
• Produce high-quality drafts using AutoCAD or other software for mapping data and design.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables with overall project goals.
• Provide necessary information to the team on a timely basis, including strand maps, drafted design maps, and BOMs or digital files.
• Maintain high production levels to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed.
• Meet project deadlines and complete tasks under tight timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or up to two years of Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Design/Engineering Experience is required
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
• Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: Operate vehicle, climb stairs, stand, walk
