Job summary

Ervin Cable Construction, LLC is seeking a Drafting Designing Coordinator to create and modify telecom and permit drawings, ensuring designs meet customer specs. You will use AutoCAD and other software to produce drafts and support project timelines. Office based in Kansas City, MO.

Remote position. This role offers weekly pay, PTO, education reimbursement, 401(k) with company match, and more. A high school diploma or GED is required, with preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree and coursework

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; telecom OSP design/engineering experience preferred.
• Coursework or internship in design and drafting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify telecommunications and permit drawings.
• Design small extensions and small system redesigns, per customer design specifications.
• Produce high-quality drafts using AutoCAD or other software for mapping data and design.
• Coordinate project timelines and deliverables, ensuring drafting and design align with project goals.
• Provide necessary information to the team on a timely basis, including strand maps, drafted design maps, and BOMs or digital files.
• Maintain high production levels to meet and exceed client expectations.
• Learn new software and adapt to new technology as needed.
• Meet project deadlines and successfully complete tasks under tight timelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or up to two years of Telecom Outside Plant (OSP) Design/Engineering Experience is required
• Associate'sor Bachelor's Degree in a related field is preferred
• Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting is preferred

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Work alone in remote locations, use keyboard and mouse
• Occasionally: Operate vehicle, climb stairs, stand, walk

The wage range for Coordinator Drafting/Designing is$18.00 - $24.00.
