Primary responsibilities are serving as ambulatory surgeryreceptionist, scheduling appointments, obtaining insurance benefits, authorizations, processing information for admitting out-patients, charge capture and charge reconciliation.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Registers and schedules outpatient surgical accounts, admits to appropriate surgical procedure area and assembles chart.
2. Clearly informs patients of insurance benefits.
3. Charge capture, charge reconciliation and maintain census/visit information.
4. Obtains and verifies appropriate insurance information, completion of MSP questionnaire, referrals and authorizations.
5. Serves as financial counselor, arranges payment plans and/or refer patients to other agencies for financial assistance as required.
