Job summary

Pequot Tool in Minnesota is seeking a CMM software engineer to develop, test, and modify programs for complex part measurements. You will analyze production problems and create software solutions within the CMM environment to optimize part conformance.

You will collaborate with engineers and programmers to verify dimensions, modify existing software for new hardware, and train users on CMM equipment. A technical degree and relevant experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required in related field.
• Three to seven years related experience required.
• Proficiency with computers and software systems for development and programming.
• Machine Tools Technology or related certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with CMM software manufacturer, engineers, programmers and others to verify part dimensions.

POSITION SUMMARY

Develop, create, and modify Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs for the measurement of complex, multifeatured parts. Analyze production engineering problems or needs and develop software solutions, using the CMM. Work within the parameters of the CMM software for PTM's use with the aim of optimizing efficiency in determining part specification conformance. May analyze and design databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.
