Performs as part of the Operations Planning team within System Operations and provides support in the areas of operations planning studies, reporting, data collection and analyses, NERC compliance and other related initiatives requiring a basic understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and strong analytical skills.
As a Cooperative Education Student within the System Operations Division, the candidate may participate in cross-training and support the Control Center Operations and Resource Planning Groups.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements
Candidate is required to be working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent program from an ABET accredited program. Junior class standing with at least one (1) semester of specialization core classes completed is required. Co-op students are expected to be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours per semester, maintain a 2.75 GPA, and work approximately 20 hours a week. Candidates able to work a minimum of two (2) semesters prior to graduation are preferred.
