Job summary

Seminole Electric is seeking a Cooperative Education Student for the Operations Planning team in Tampa, FL. This paid internship supports power flow studies, data collection, and NERC compliance activities as part of the System Operations division.

Ideal candidates are Electrical Engineering students in ABET-accredited programs, in junior year, taking at least 6 credits, with a 2.75 GPA, and able to commit ~20 hours weekly across two semesters before graduation.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• Junior class standing with at least one semester of specialization core classes completed.
• Enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours per semester and maintain a 2.75 GPA.
• Able to work approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Support operations planning studies, reporting, data collection and analyses.
• Assist with NERC compliance related functions and documentation.
• Develop and maintain tools, templates and reports for System Operations.
• Prepare and update system documentation including drawings and manuals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and participate in training.
