Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or similar.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 10 hours.

  • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen areas.

Role Overview:

The Cooper's Hawk Line Cook is crucial to our success, playing an integral role in creating a positive experience for each guest. The role involves daily preparation and execution of food items across various stations including pantry, fry, grill, broil, and sauté.

Compensation:

$15 - $22 / Hr

  • What You'll Do:
    • Maintain quality standards by preparing recipes to specification
    • Follow recipes, manage portions, and ensure presentation quality
    • Set up and organize stations
    • Use the KDS system to manage cook times and multitask
    • Restock items as needed
    • Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen areas
    • Maintain kitchen equipment
    • Ensure safety and sanitation standards
    • Communicate effectively with Managers and Team Members
    • Follow operational checklists and procedures
    • Perform additional duties as assigned
    What You'll Need:
    • Alignment with Cooper's Hawk Values
    • At least 18 years old
    • Minimum 6 months line cook experience in upscale casual dining or similar
    • Team-oriented mindset
    • Proficiency in professional cooking and knife skills
    • Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling
    • Ability to follow recipes and instructions
    • Clear communication skills
    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for up to 10 hours
    • Comfort with working in wet, hot, and noisy conditions
    • Flexibility to work weekends and holidays
    • Proficiency in English
