AllSearch Professional Staffing, Inc. in Mountainside, NJ is seeking a Cooling Tower Service Technician for our client in the commercial/industrial HVAC sector.

The role focuses on preventive maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, and component replacements for cooling towers and related systems. You will perform routine maintenance with limited supervision, assist senior technicians on installations and upgrades, and support field-service crews on multi-day maintenance projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in commercial HVAC, mechanical service, or related field.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs with limited supervision.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals and safety documentation.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial/industrial cooling towers and related systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving pumps, motors, bearings, belts, pulleys, fans, valves, and piping.
• Perform routine repairs, servicing, and component replacements with limited supervision.
• Assist with cooling tower installations and equipment upgrades per manufacturer specs.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, and corrective actions.
• Support senior technicians on advanced troubleshooting and complex field-service projects.
• Document maintenance activities, findings, and actions taken.
• Communicate conditions and progress to supervisors and management.
