OBR Cooling Towers in the United States is seeking a dedicated Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician to perform thorough power washing and cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance at client sites across industrial facilities.

You will follow detailed safety procedures, complete required documentation, and work independently or with a team in fast-paced environments.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Experience power washing or industrial cleaning required.
• Experience working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks using power washing equipment and approved methods.
• Operate power washers safely, selecting appropriate spray heads and pressures.
• Assist with pre- and post-cleaning activities, including system preparation and clean-up.
• Follow supervisors' instructions to complete projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Complete safety documentation, including Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork.

The primary responsibility of the Cooling Tower Cleaning Technician is to perform thorough power washing and cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks, ensuring equipment operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety procedures, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced, changing environments.

ROLES/TASKS OF THE POSITION

• Perform detailed cleaning of cooling towers and water storage tanks using power washing equipment and approved cleaning methods
• Operate power washers safely, selecting appropriate spray heads and pressures for each task
• Assist with pre- and post-cleaning activities, including system preparation and clean-up
• Accurately follow instructions from supervisors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
• Complete required safety documentation, including Job Hazard Analyses and daily paperwork
• Follow all company safety policies, including proper PPE usage and chemical handling procedures
• Read and apply information from Safety Data Sheets (SDS/MSDS) as required
• Maintain a professional attitude and strong work ethic while representing the company at client sites
• Occasional travel or road trips (voluntary basis)
• Perform additional duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License or ID Card (also, must have reliable transportation)
• Experience power washing or industrial cleaning
• Prior experience working at heights, in confined spaces, and in industrial environments.

PREREQUISITES & REQUIREMENTS

• Negative 9 panel urinalysis and breath alcohol test.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle for travel to designated meeting locations.
• Satisfactory background check.
• Some late nights, occasional overnight work, and overtime when available.
• Early start times (sometimes as early as 4:30 AM).
• Reliable attendance and punctuality for early-morning schedules.
• Smartphone proficiency for scheduling and communication (Gmail, Dropbox, OneDrive, Adobe, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of this role, with reasonable accommodation provided as needed. Requirements include:

• Working in hot, humid environments in industrial or commercial environments.
• Lifting of up to 50 pounds, bending, scooping, crouching, balancing, standing, kneeling, climbing (stairs and structures), and stooping.
• Under certain conditions, respirators will be required to be worn.
• Ability to haul equipment up and down ladders.
• Perform keyboarding/typing and reading from screens or paper.
