Job summary

Meadow Gold, a farmer-owned brand of Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), is seeking a Cooler Operator to join our distribution team in Idaho. The role involves receiving, storing, and distributing products while serving as an Order Picker, Forklift Operator, and Case Washer.

Regular, full-time hours ensure at least 40 hours per week and opportunities for overtime. Starting pay is $22.35/hour for the first six months, rising to $23.66/hour, then $24.44/hour with a $27.16/hour cap after one year.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and follow safety procedures.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and repeatedly handle 100 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a cold environment (35–40°F).

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving, storing and distributing tasks to support product distribution.
• Operate as Order Picker, Forklift Operator, and Case Washer in a distribution setting.

This position is responsible for performing any combination of receiving, storing and distributing tasks to assist in the distribution of our products. Cooler Operators are Order Pickers, Forklift Operators, and Case Washer Operators.

THESE POSITION STARTS AT $22.35 for first 6 months, $23.66 until May 1st, then $24.44 at one year wage is $27.16 PER HOUR, PLUS OVERTIME

• Sunday - 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM
• Monday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• Tuesday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• Thursday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM
• Friday - 04:00 PM to 12:00 AM

IT IS A REGULAR, FULL-TIME POSITION, WORKING AT LEAST 40 HOURS PER WEEK

• Must have recent forklift experience
• Must be able to pass a forklift certification test
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs, frequently lift and/or move above shoulder height, stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift
• Must be able to work in a cold, wet environment where temperature is maintained at 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit
• Be able to effectively work in a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
