Job summary

Kemps is hiring a Cooler/Warehouse Operator to assist with shipping preparation, loading/unloading, and inventory control. The role requires operating a yard truck and forklift, with a key emphasis on safety and adherence to SOPs.

Shift is Tue-Sat 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with Sundays and Mondays off. Benefits include Health Insurance, 401(k) with company contributions, and opportunities for career growth within the DFA family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in the dairy industry preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Able to pass pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks.
• Willing to work overtime, occasional weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Set up loads for shipping and prepare trailers for loading.
• Load and unload trailers and move trailers using yard truck.
• Pull finished pallets with stacker and manage inventory control.
• Communicate effectively with departments and meet daily deadlines.
• Follow SOPs, GMPs and SQF guidelines.

Job description

Kemps has immediate job openings for Cooler/ Warehouse Operators to perform an array of functions including setting up loads for shipping, loading and unloading trailers, pulling finished pallets stacker, inventory control, assisting warehouse personnel, and communicating effectively with all departments and meeting daily deadlines.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Use trailer safety automatic wheel chocks
• Take samples for Quality Control Laboratory
• Using the yard truck to move trailers for loading and unloading
• Accurately complete all associated records
• Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
• Comply with SQF and Company Guidelines to produce safe and quality product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

OUR COOLER/WAREHOUSE OPERATOR FOR THIS POSITION START AT:

• 30.36 per hour

SCHEDULE: Tuesday-Saturday 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM

DAYS OFF: Sunday-Monday

Education Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• Experience in the dairy industry preferred
• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractionsand decimal
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings including drug, background and criminal checks
• Must be able to push, pull, stand, walk, climb, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMust be able to be able to work in a wet environment
• May have some exposure to dust, fumes and cleaning chemicals
• Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as required, occasional weekends and holidays
