The Cryocooler Technician at Teledyne Technologies Incorporated performs precision mechanical assembly for the cryocooler production line, conducts cleaning, documentation, and testing of parts, subassemblies, and finished goods, and uses production tooling, computers, and specialized equipment for tracking and quality checks.

You will document results, support data entry for WIP tracking, interact with engineering, and carry out routine responsibilities, including several cleaning operations

• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic computer proficiency (Word/Outlook/Excel).
• Able to use a microscope for small parts inspection.
• Ability to use small hand tools and read manuals or blueprints.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Able to sit or stand for long periods; lift up to 25 lbs; push/pull up to 50 lbs.

Job Description

Job Summary

The Cryocooler Technician performs precision mechanical assembly for the cryocooler production line. The Cryocooler Technician also performs the required processes of cleaning, documenting, and testing of parts, subassemblies, and finished goods. This role utilizes production tooling, computers, and specialized equipment required for production and material/WIP tracking, identifies and documents discrepant material, and interacts with co-workers, managers, and the engineering department.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform precision mechanical assembly and adhesive application following work instructions
• Perform measurements and execute test procedures; accurately record and document results
• Perform data entry for travelers and work-in-progress (WIP) tracking systems
• Assist Engineering in developmental processes, as necessary
• Several cleaning operations
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail
• Basic computer proficiency, including navigating Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, and Excel)
• Must be able to use a microscope to visually inspect small parts, up to 8 hours a day
• Must be able to use small hand tools like tweezers, hex keys, and probes/picks
• Must be able to use hands to move and assemble very small parts and fastening devices
• Must be able to read, interpret, and work from equipment manuals, blueprints or sketches
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the English language
• Able to sit or stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours day
• Able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted
• Able to push or pull up to 50 lbs., unassisted

Desired Skills

• 2+ years related experience with electro-mechanical assembly desired
• Ability to read and understand written test procedures

Salary Range

$34,300.00-$45,700.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
