Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated in Goleta, CA is seeking a skilled assembler for precision mechanical assembly in a controlled environment. You will assemble Dewar components, apply adhesives, and document inspections while maintaining data integrity and traveler/WIP records.

You will work with engineering teams to support product development, follow 5S practices, and ensure safety through proper PPE use. The role requires reading drawings, handling small parts, and physical endurance.

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specs.
  • Must follow PPE procedures in cleanroom environments.
  • Proficient with basic computer usage and data entry.
  • Ability to sit/stand up to 8 hours and lift up to 25 lbs.

Job Summary:

Performs precision mechanical assembly for Dewar production, including the cleaning, processing, and documentation of parts, subassemblies, and finished products. Utilizes production tooling, computer systems, and specialized equipment to support production. Collaborates with coworkers, managers, and engineering teams to ensure quality and production objectives are met.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Safely handle common manufacturing chemicals and solvents in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform precision mechanical assembly and adhesive application by following work instructions and specifications
  • Conduct measurements and accurately document inspection and test results
  • Enter production data and maintain accurate traveler and work-in-progress (WIP) records
  • Maintain accurate documentation, product traceability, and data integrity throughout the manufacturing process
  • Communicate effectively with team members across all areas of operations
  • Support engineering activities and assist with product development processes as needed
  • Follow 5S protocols to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform a variety of cleaning processes to support production and quality requirements
  • Perform other related duties and support functions as assigned
Job Qualifications:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate fine motor skills and manual dexterity
  • Able to use small hand tools, such as tweezers, hex keys, and probes/picks
  • Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation with minimal supervision
  • Able to work in a cleanroom environment and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including coveralls, hairnet, gloves, face mask, and ESD footwear
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the English language
  • Proficient with using a computer and navigating standard software applications
  • Able to use a microscope to visually inspect small parts for long periods of time
  • Must be able to sit or stand up to 8 hours a day
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs., unassisted
Desired Experience:

3-4 years of experience working in a Manufacturing or Material environment

Salary Range: $44,500.00-$59,300.000 The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
