Job summary

Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages in Laredo, TX, is hiring a route technician to deliver, set up and move vending equipment across customer accounts. You will load/unload, set coolers and educate customers on operation of the equipment.

The role requires CDL-Class A, 1–3 years’ experience, and the ability to pass a DOT physical; forklift certification is a plus. Competitive hourly pay plus bonuses and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1–3 years of general work experience required.
• CDL license required, Class A preferred, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Must pass a DOT physical or have a valid DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Deliver, exchange and move vending equipment.
• Complete safety vehicle reports daily.
• Load and unload vending machines for delivery and/or return.
• Communicate with dispatchers, customers and supervisors regarding delivery and pick up status.
• Set coolers, including shelves, temperature and refrigeration checks.
• Educate customers in operation of equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Work days/Shift Hours - Monday-Friday 8 AM-Complete.

Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $17.00 to $20.00 per hour, based on experience. Additional earning opportunities may include performance-based incentives, quarterly bonuses, referral bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.

General Purpose

Responsible for delivering, setting up, moving and exchanging vending equipment in customer accounts and other outlets.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver, exchange and move vending equipment.
• Complete safety vehicle reports daily.
• Load and unload vending machines for delivery and/or return.
• Communicates with dispatchers, customers and supervisors regarding delivery and pick up status.
• Set coolers, which involves setting shelves, temperature and checking refrigeration.
• Educate customers in operation of equipment.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.

Qualifications

• Education:
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience:
• 1 to 3 years of general work experience required.
• Prior work experience with moving equipment preferred.
• Previous vending equipment repair and distribution a plus.
• Ability to do heavy lifting daily.
• Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Valid CDL required, Class A preferred, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical and/or have a valid DOT Medical Card.
