Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is hiring for a Cookie Crew role at our Harlem store located at 17 West 125th Street New York, NY 10027. You will be the friendly front-of-store ambassador and also bake our warm, delicious cookies all day long.

We offer flexible part-time schedules, pay-on-demand, paid vacation and sick time, pet insurance, mentorship, growth opportunities, and free cookies with every shift. Join a fun, energetic team environment and help guests with orders, baking, and timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience in a customer service focused role.
• Personable, genuine, outgoing demeanor.
• Customer service oriented with a willingness to exceed guest expectations.
• Excellent communication, organizational and math skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lb.
• Must be 18 years or older to be employed.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests entering the store and take orders according to procedure.
• Help customers understand menu items and ensure accurate orders.
• Provide a warm experience in person and over the phone.
• Bake cookies to perfection and scoop ice cream when applicable.
• Package and send delivery orders with speed and accuracy.
• Handle cash and payments with accuracy and no shortages.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness, sanitation, and organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT ELSE WILL I DO AS A MEMBER OF THE COOKIE CREW?

• Promptly greet guests entering the store and take their orders according to procedure
• Help customers understand menu items, answer clarifying questions, and repeat orders for accuracy
• Give each customer a warm experience with a smile in person & over the phone
• Bake our delicious cookies to perfection & a scoop of ice cream
• Ensure fast, warm, and correct delivery orders are packaged and sent out
• Handle cash and payments accurately and have no shortages or overages
• Cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining the bakery
• Other duties as assigned
