Job summary

The Virginia Beach Sports Center is seeking a part-time Cook to join the Food & Beverage team. The Cook will provide quality service and assist the kitchen staff with daily upkeep of the facility's kitchen.

Located in Virginia Beach, VA, this role requires weekend and evening availability and the ability to work independently. Prior food industry experience is preferred, and the position offers a collaborative environment within Sports Facilities Management, LLC.

Qualifications

• Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
• Must be available on weekends, nights, and some weekdays
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Effective time management skills
• Prior experience in food industry preferred

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare all food
• Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes and at the correct temperature
• Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters
• Maintains inventory in the stock room
• Cleans kitchen area before and after business hours
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and stores pots and pans, utensils, and dishes
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cook will provide quality service as well as consistent products. This position will assist the kitchen staff with the daily upkeep of the facility's kitchen.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Cook and prepare all food
• Serves food in proper pre-determined portion sizes and at the correct temperature
• Maintains appearance of all equipment and serving counters
• Maintains inventory in the stock room
• Cleans kitchen area before and after business hours
• Scrubs, sanitizes, and stores pots and pans, utensils, and dishes
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
• Must be available on weekends, nights, and some weekdays

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds waist high
• Able to tolerate extreme temperatures
