The University of Wisconsin-Madison is hiring three temporary cooks to work in the Lake View Lounge back of house, handling pizza, pasta bowls, and related prep while also assisting with customer service

Positions run on varying schedules and end on 12/16/2026. Compensation is $17.00 per hour with weekend ($0.80) and night ($2.50) differentials; supervision of student workers and role in dining operations are included.

Job Summary

3 positions that will work in the Lake View Lounge back of house cooking menu items along with prep work and in the Strada will primarily be a cook but will also serve in customer service functions like preparing pizzas, pasta bowls, & interacting with guests.

Performs a variety of food preparation activities and related tasks according to quality and safety standards in dining, venues to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve departmental food service goals.

Schedule

Weekly Schedule: subject to change based on business needs

Position 1: Mon - Fri 11am - 5pm

Position 2: Wed - Sun 4pm - 10pm

Position 3: Thu - Sun 12pm - 6pm

These positions are Temporary positions that will end on 12/16/2026.
