Manson Construction Co. seeks a steward to prepare meals, clean and organize the galley, and manage food stores aboard a hopper dredge vessel. You will plan meals, order supplies, and may work non-regular hours or travel as needed.
The role emphasizes adherence to the Safety Management System and crew safety. Required are 3-5 years of cooking experience (preferably on a marine vessel), a high school diploma or GED, and a Food Handlers certificate.

Performs duties and responsibilities, as outlined in the hopper Safety Management System, including all procedures listed for the position in SMS 6.3-1 Positions and procedures cross reference.

Employee must be able to met the following physical requirements for this position such as: Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on marine vessels in water. Able to safely execute duties in and around heavy equipment/large machinery in marine dredging and marine construction job sites. Able to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments (hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, respirators, etc.)
