Job summary

Slice House Milpitas is seeking a cook to prepare quality food and ensure consistency across shifts. You will work on the line, following safety and sanitation standards and contributing to a positive guest experience.

The role requires a Food Handler Certification and about one year of cooking experience. The position is on-site in Milpitas, offering an hourly wage with flexible scheduling and employee meal benefits.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certification required
• 1 year professional cooking experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Slice House experience
• Practice safe cooking procedures and quickly scan and comprehend the order tickets
• Accurately count the number of Bone‑In Wings, Boneless Wings and Boneless Strips needed for each order
• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean throughout the shift, maintaining "clean as you go" and at closing time
• Immediately notify Manager on Duty of all safety, sanitation, or employee issues
• Assist other employees as needed and follow directions given by Manager or Supervisor
• Know and thoroughly understand the importance of good hygiene and food handling practices
• Follow instructions in how to properly and safely use chemical cleaning products

Salary Range: $16.50 - $18.00 Hourly

Job Shift: Any

Slice House cook is responsible for preparing quality food that tastes great and is consistent from day-to-day. This position is critical to the restaurant, ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Slice House experience
