Job summary

Slice House Riverside is seeking a cook to prepare high-quality food consistently and maintain cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen. You will work on live stations, follow prep lists, and ensure great customer experiences.

We value a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency while upholding health and safety guidelines. Flexible scheduling and employee meals are provided.

Qualifications

• Professional cooking experience, 1 year preferred.
• Line cook experience, 1 year preferred.
• Food handler certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a positive guest impression of Slice House experience.
• Practice safe cooking procedures.
• Keep the kitchen clean during the shift and at closing time.
• Notify Manager on Duty of safety, sanitation, or employee issues.
• Assist other employees as needed.
• Follow directions from Manager or Supervisor.
• Know menu items and recipes for each station.
• Work accurately but with haste.
• Use proper food handling techniques per health standards.
• Maintain professional appearance on live stations.

Job Location: Slice House Riverside - Riverside, CA 92507-6319

Salary Range: $16.90 - $20.00 Hourly

Slice House cook is responsible to prepare quality food that tastes great and is consistent from day-to-day. This position is critical to the Restaurants; ensuring compliance with company standards in all areas of operation, including product preparation maintaining the highest quality products and services are delivered to each customer; follows and comprehends the importance of proper personal hygiene and sanitation procedures. The restaurant cook must be able to successfully focus on their job in a calm, yet efficient manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure that each guest has a positive, long lasting impression of the Slice House experience
• Ability to practice safe cooking procedures.
• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean throughout the shift maintaining clean as you go and at closing time
• Immediately notify Manager on Duty of all safety, sanitation, or employee issues
• Assist other employees as needed
• Follow directions given by Manager or Supervisor.
• Is knowledgeable of menu items and recipes for each kitchen station worked.
• Works accurately but with haste.
• Utilizes proper food handling techniques following company health and safety standards.
• Capable of working in public on live stations and maintaining superior appearance standards.
• Capable of following the prep list to each assigned station.
• Maintains professionalism.
• Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
• Adheres to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
• Know and thoroughly understand the importance of good hygiene and food handling practices
• Ability to thoroughly understand and follow instructions in how to properly and safely use chemical cleaning products
