Job summary

Western Horizons Living Centers in Hettinger, ND, is seeking an entry-level cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents in a 40-bed facility with 16 assisted living units. You will follow standardized recipes and dietary guidelines, maintain a clean kitchen, and assist with dietary department tasks.

The role supports dignity and quality of life for residents and requires flexibility to supervise staff when the Dietary Services Manager is unavailable.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 16
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
• Prior dietary services experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare foodstuffs and cook using a variety of methods
• Serve food per dietary guidelines, checking for accuracy against resident diets
• Maintain and sanitize kitchen equipment; support dietary department cleaning
