Job summary

Kadima Healthcare in New Wilmington, PA is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per menus, ensure quality service, and supervise staff when needed. This on-site role participates in therapeutic diet planning and adheres to safety guidelines.

Shifts include early morning and afternoon blocks; a $1,000 sign-on bonus is offered. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and food service certification is a plus. Medical, dental, vision, PTO, and 401K are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification in food services is a plus.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Friendly with good communication skills.
• Good physical condition (standing for long periods of time).

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus and make only authorized food substitutes.
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures.
• Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus.
• Assumes responsibility for tray line and serves on tray line as necessary.
• Prepare food in accordance with standardized receipts and special diet orders.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is being served.
• Prepare and serve residents nutritional bedtime snacks.
• Be sure that the appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with the resident

Job Description

The Cook will prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulation, with our established policies and procedures. Directed by the Dietary Manager or designee, to assure quality food service is provided at all times. Responsible for directing staff assigned to the department when Dietary Manager or designee is unavailable.
