Job summary

The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Delaware Park in Buffalo, NY is seeking a part-time Cook to join our dining services team. You will prepare, cook, and serve a variety of foods and work on the tray line during meals, with emphasis on cleanliness and food safety.

Requirements include at least one year of large-scale cooking experience, a High School Diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work well in a team.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Must be a strong team player.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.

• Preparation, cooking, and service of a variety of foods.
• Baking a variety of rolls, cookies, cakes, and pies.
• Working on tray line during meal service.
• General cleaning up of kitchen.
• Hand washing and sanitizing of pot and pans.
• Related work as required.

Requirements Include

• Minimum one year of experience in large-scale cooking.
• Will manage Kitchen in absence of food service director.
• Reliable Transportation.

Necessary Skills/Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep.
• Must be able to do some physical work.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Should be a strong team player.
• Excellent customer service & communication skills.
