Join Our Team as a Cook - Part Time

Benchmark Senior Living is looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team. As a Cook, your primary role will be to prepare delicious, nutritious meals that enhance the lives of our residents. You will follow federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, along with Benchmark's policies and procedures. The Food Services Director will oversee these duties to ensure consistent quality in food service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all dietary procedures are followed properly.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including meat slicers, food processors, mixers, ovens, grills, steamers, dishwashers, dumb waiters, and warmer cabinets.
• Assist in establishing a food production line to ensure timely meal preparation.
• Represent the community positively when interacting with potential residents and their families.
• Prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality, flavorful meals with appealing presentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary Arts training preferred.
• At least 2 years of dietary experience.
• Knowledge of dietary procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines related to food service.
• Leadership skills and ability to supervise staff harmoniously.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• This is primarily a standing position; extended standing may be required.
