Job summary

Silver Birch Living, LLC in Hammond, IN is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary Team. You will prepare tasty, nutritious meals that help residents feel cared for and happy, contributing to a warm, supportive living environment.

You’ll work with a caring team, maintain food safety and presentation, and assist with deliveries and storage. ServSafe is a plus, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Basic food safety knowledge.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
• Food service experience is helpful.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals from the menu in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper portion sizes and attractive meal presentation.
• Check food temperatures and quality to meet safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and safe.
• Assist with food deliveries and proper storage.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Be friendly and helpful to residents and coworkers.
