Job summary

Silver Birch Living in Fort Wayne, IN, is seeking a full-time Cook to join our caring team. You will prepare and serve meals from the menu, ensure portions are accurate, and present attractive dishes for our residents.

Maintain food safety, check temperatures, keep the kitchen clean and organized, assist with deliveries, and work with colleagues to provide warm, compassionate service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic food safety knowledge required.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals from the menu in a timely manner.
• Ensure proper portion sizes and attractive meal presentation.
• Check food temperatures and quality to meet safety standards.
• Keep the kitchen, equipment, and work areas clean and safe.
• Assist with food deliveries and proper storage.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Be friendly and helpful to residents and coworkers.
