CHI LakeWood Health is seeking a casual Cook to work in our Acute Care and Long Term Care facility. This role involves preparing nutritious, safe, and tasty meals that promote health and healing for patients, families, and staff. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving meals for patients on various diets, staff dining, café offerings, room service, catered events, and special functions, in accordance with policies, Minnesota State Food Codes, and Joint Commission standards.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve meals to Care Center Residents, Hospital, and ARC.
• Understand basics of therapeutic diets to follow nutrition care plans.
• Operate dishwashing machines, meat slicers, coffee machines, steamers, grills, ovens, and handle food safely.
• Follow standardized recipes for quantity food preparation.
• Coordinate meal times with aides, nurses, and dietitians.
• Propose solutions to food service issues.
• Adhere to Minnesota Department of Health safety standards and LakeWood’s policies.
• Stock food items, document food records, grocery supplies, and temperatures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Pay Range:
