Job Overview

Frontier Senior Living is seeking an outstanding Cook for the Heartis Longview community in Longview, Texas. Responsibilities

1. Assist Dietary Supervisor with meal preparation and service for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
2. Prepare hot and cold menu items, including soups, sauces, salads, and desserts, following established standards and recipes.
3. Follow all health, safety, and infection control practices.
4. Coordinate with team members to resolve food service issues and manage inventory to control costs.
5. Maintain cleanliness of work areas and break down service lines.
6. Engage with residents to understand their needs and provide excellent service.
7. Uphold professionalism and a customer service orientation in all interactions.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for up to eight hours.
• Experience as an online cook or in food services preferred.
• Formal or on-the-job training in resident care techniques.
• Compassion for senior adults.
• Ability to push and pull up to 30 pounds.
