Job summary

HCA Florida Largo Hospital is hiring a Cook to prepare, season, and cook meals for patients, staff, visitors, and special functions. You will review menus, prepare quality food in the required quantities, and coordinate timing to meet service schedules.

You will adhere to recipes and portion controls to prevent waste and costs, while ensuring sanitation and safety of equipment. You will mentor new staff and assist in ordering supplies as needed.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• You will prepares, seasons, and cook food for patients, staff, visitors, and special functions.
• You will review menus to determine types and quantities of food.
• You Prepares quality food in sufficient quantities to cover all service requirements.
• You will coordinate timing of preparation in order to meet service schedules for patients, staff, visitors and catering services.
• You will adhere to standardization of recipes and portion control to prevent food waste and control cost.
• You will provide care and sanitation of equipment in production area.
• You will adhere to sanitation and safety standards (HACCP)
• You will participate in the process of ordering supplies.
• You will give directions to personnel who assist in food preparation.
• You will orient and mentors new staff members.
