Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner for patients and staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.

Job Duties / Responsibilities:

1. Comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services.
2. Follow menus and recipes provided by the Dietary Manager and Dietitian.
3. Prepare meals and beverages according to the menu cycle and daily production sheet, ensuring meals are attractive and tasteful.

Education / Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking, basic knowledge of modified diets, training in food service sanitation, and possession of a food handler’s permit as required. Experience with industrial kitchen equipment and some supervisory experience is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
