Position Summary

The Cook is responsible for the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals for patients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets.

Job Duties / Responsibilities

1. Comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services offered.
2. Follow menus and recipes as provided by the Dietary Manager and Dietitian.
3. Prepare meals and beverages according to the menu cycle and daily production sheet, providing attractive and tasteful meals.

Qualifications

Education / Experience: Must have at least two (2) years of experience in quantity cooking, basic knowledge of modified diets, training in food service sanitation, and a food handler’s permit if required. Experience with industrial kitchen equipment and some prior supervisory experience is helpful. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
